Latest Tech Support Scam: Let Them Eat CPU!

Lawrence Abrams, writing at the well-respected Bleeping Computer, details the latest new Tech Support Scam - and in this case - a scam that specifically targets Google Inc.'s (Nasdaq: GOOG) Chrome browser with a CPU-cycle eating javascript attack. Today's Must Read.

"This new tech support scam variant was reported in a Google Chrome bug report that states that once a user visits the page, the CPU utilization quickly goes to 100%. This makes it impossible to close the tab, the browser, or properly use the computer until the Chrome process is killed." - via Lawrence Abrams, reporting at his well-respected Bleeping Computer site, in which, he details the latest new Tech Support Scam, this time targeting Chrome.
