MAC OS X FileVault Found Vulnerable

News, of the apparent defeat of Apple Inc.’s (NasdaqGS: AAPL) FileVault 2, the full disk encryption scheme, currently included with MAC OS X 10.7. Pesky failed encryption schemes are the buagaboo of secure storage and computation, don’t you think? At the very least Apple might want to actually secure and sequester the encryption keys to the kingdom; and, of course, they might also want to re-purpose those new-hires at the mOthership from laboring on fake, make-work projects to something actually useful, like, um, creating an FDE that actually works. as it were… Unbelievable.

More Machines, More Users, More Incidents. Simply put, perhaps the price of success, or is the alleged increase indicative of the maturity of the OS?

Further extending the Cupertino, California design, computer and consumer electronics giant’s lead in the aptly named popup retail marketplace, thus creating the so-called ‘barn-gap’ in the retail competitive space…
