News, of the apparent defeat of Apple Inc.’s (NasdaqGS: AAPL) FileVault 2, the full disk encryption scheme, currently included with MAC OS X 10.7. Pesky failed encryption schemes are the buagaboo of secure storage and computation, don’t you think? At the very least Apple might want to actually secure and sequester the encryption keys to the kingdom; and, of course, they might also want to re-purpose those new-hires at the mOthership from laboring on fake, make-work projects to something actually useful, like, um, creating an FDE that actually works. as it were… Unbelievable.

In rather unsurprising Apple Inc. (NasdaqGS: AAPL) information security news, F-Secure provides proof of the elevation of the number of incidents related to Mac OS X based computational devices. Notwithstanding the numbers, the only surprise would be a decrease, don’t you agree? Not meant to denigrate the work of the F-Secure researchers just merely a fact. More Machines, More Users, More Incidents. Simply put, perhaps the price of success, or is the alleged increase indicative of the maturity of the OS?

via the genius of Scoopertino.comYes, apparently the retail boffins at Apple Inc. (NasdaqGS: AAPL) have instituted a new plan to woo the Amish. Further extending the Cupertino, California design, computer and consumer electronics giant’s lead in the aptly named popup retail marketplace, thus creating the so-called ‘barn-gap’ in the retail competitive space…

via the brilliant folks at Scoopertino.com This just in, via Scoopertino, of an apparent secret deal (leading to the public knighting of Jonathan Ive, now Sir Jonathan Ive) between and betwixt Apple Inc. (NasdaqGS: AAPL), inclusive of the government and Royal Family of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Included in the leaked deal is a complete redesign of Big Ben and the Pound Sterling.

Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at 8:00 via Intego’s Mac Security Blog, comes a warning of proliferating phish attacks, promulgated by perpetrators unknown. The phish, targets Apple Inc. (NasdaqGS: AAPL) customers, looking to [what else?] separate those customers from their respective wallets, and of course, the cash, therein…
